The illiteracy rate is around 13.5%, with higher rates among adult females, especially in densely populated and underserved areas such as Kamuli Namwendwa ward in Southern Division and Namisambya II Ward in Northern Division.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Social Assistance Grant for Empowerment (SAGE)<\/strong> program reaches about 1,200 elderly persons across the municipality. Similarly, <strong>UWEP<\/strong> and <strong>YLP<\/strong> have supported over 150 women&#8217;s groups and 90 youth groups, respectively.
